speedy spandex.

Well, I finished Vascular Surgery. It really helped me to appreciate hard work. I had a record low VISA bill last month, probably owing to the fact that any time I spent outside of the hospital was either sleeping, or trying to figure out when I could next be sleeping. I think it may have been a little hard on Kyle. I also learned fast, improved lots, and took on more responsibility than ever before, which I found to be quite fulfilling.

I am doing psychiatry right now. It is really helping me to appreciate not working hard. I am working at a day program for adolescents recovering from psychotic illness. The days are short, the pace is slow, and the responsibility is minimal. The work isn't as fulfilling, but I have time to sleep enough, exercise, cook good meals, bake, get some cleaning/organizing done, and see friends and family - quite fulfilling.

I hope that I am able to find a happy medium between the two types of 'fulfilling' I just mentioned. I guess that's what everyone hopes for - a balance between fulfilling work and personal life - I just don't know if everyone takes it seriously.
